Keetje Mans

Keetje Mans was born in Amsterdam in 1979 and studied at the academy of fine arts 1999-2004 and the Jan van Eyck academy in Maastricht. 2013-2014

Keetje Mans brings a sense of cultural blending into the narrative. Her paintings and drawings depict scenes with mystical dimensions and references to exotic folk culture. Using off-colors and domestic elements, Mans displaces her subjects to construct a more private world, rich with symbolic overtones.
