PARIS GROUP SHOW
MARIAN CRAMER + AOÛT Pop Up during Paris Art Week
Août Gallery (Beirut) & Marian Cramer Projects (Amsterdam) are pleased to present their first joint group exhibition in the heart of Le Marais coinciding with Paris+ par Art Basel.
Debuting on the 18th of October, and featuring the most prominent contemporary international artists, in the tradition of the new wave of contemporary figurative painting, the show aims to promote the collaboration between art galleries worldwide, and build bridges with Paris’s exceptional cultural ecosystem.
Born in different parts of the world, the artists presented came of age outside of the dominant centers of the art world, internalizing the spaces and light of the their past and present experiences as well as current events. Working in painting and sculpture, respectively, each work explores internal dialogues and methods of expression that are observant of what it means to be human in the present day and challenge the traditional boundaries of their media in search of a new form of expression.
Though all artists practices differ, they find common ground in their sharp sensibilities and their distinctive eye for color and visual language
