Marian Cramer Projects is proud to announce Frederique Masselink-van Rijn’s first presentation of her new series of photographs, Light in the Spanish Pyrennees.
Masselink-van Rijn takes us to the world of decay. She askes us to discover tales in unexpected scenes by playing with light or by the absence of it.
The work of the Dutch Photographer Frederique Masselink-van Rijn is noted for its poetic approach to the representation of reality. Many claim that her work is more than photography. Due to her use of Hahnemühle paper there is a painterly quality to her work that gives it a sense of unconventional beauty. The dimensions of her work are small. Each photograph contains a world of wonder. She does not need large glossy prints to convince her audience.
Born in the France in 1982, Masselink-van Rijn lives in both Spain and The Netherlands and has exhibited her work since 2004, quickly making a name for herself. Her work is represented in several private and corporate Collections.
